F4F-4 Wildcat 3D interior decals 1:48 are a set of colored 3D decals from Quinta Studio on decal backing paper that bring raised, ready-colored interior details into the cockpit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of colored 3D decals from Quinta Studio replaces the flat cockpit parts with raised, pre-colored details printed on decal backing paper. It typically contains the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat belts. It is neither photo-etched metal nor resin but decals transferred with water. The set is intended for F4F-4 Wildcat models in 1:48 scale.
The Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat was an American carrier fighter of the early Second World War. It served with the US Navy and the Marines in the Pacific, had a rugged airframe, a radial engine and six 12.7 mm machine guns. The F4F-4 version brought folding wings for easier carrier operation.
Cut the part from the sheet and soak it in lukewarm water for about 15 seconds, then slide it off the backing paper into place with tweezers. The element has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on gloss varnish, so paint the interior first and coat it with a gloss varnish (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22). Press it carefully into busy detail with a cotton bud, and elsewhere a drop of cyanoacrylate helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal setter, as their chemistry attacks the printed resin of the element. The whole can be evened out at the end with a suitable clear varnish.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
