Aires resin control surfaces 1:48 for the F4U-1 Corsair let you replace the kit rudders and flaps with deflected resin parts and so bring a model to life.

This is NOT an aircraft model but a set of resin control surfaces from the maker Aires in 1:48 scale. It replaces the rudders, elevators and flaps of a kit of the American F4U-1 Corsair carrier fighter with new, finely cast parts that can be fitted deflected into a realistic position.
Deflected control surfaces give a static model dynamism and look more natural than solid kit parts in the neutral position. The set is intended for more experienced modelers who want to set their model apart from a straight-from-the-box build.
The corresponding areas on the model have to be cut away and replaced with the resin parts. Wash the resin to remove mold release residue, cut it off the casting blocks and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Choose the position of the surfaces according to period photographs.
The set is an accessory for a kit, not a stand-alone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
