F4U Corsair: a set of wheels with a ribbed and diamond tread 1:48 is an accessory to a kit you have already bought, not an airplane model. The resin castings replace the main landing gear wheels and bring a more sharply drawn tire tread and hub.

This is a resin accessory from the Czech maker Brengun intended for modelers who already have a Corsair kit in 1:48 scale built or under construction. The set is not a kit in itself and no model can be built from it: it holds replacement main landing gear wheels cast in poured resin.
Wheels are among the most watched details on a model, because you see them at eye level and right next to the base. Injected plastic necessarily has a softer tire tread, the parting line of the mold runs exactly across the middle of the tread and the rim tends to be simplified. A resin casting is poured into a silicone mold with no parting line across the tread, so both the tread pattern and the layering of the hub stay sharp. This variant combines the ribbed and the diamond tread pattern of the kind that appeared on Corsairs depending on the tire supplier.
First wash the castings in warm water with a drop of dish soap, as there tends to be residue of release agent on the surface under which paint will not hold. Cut the casting block off with a cutting disc or a saw for photo-etched parts, and never break it off; sand the remainder on fine abrasive paper wet, so that no dust is raised. It is glued with super glue, ideally the gel kind, which gives time to line things up. Apply a primer before painting, spray the tire in dark gray rather than pure black and mask the rim with a ring cut from masking tape.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a kit. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
