Dark Sand is a water-based acrylic modeling paint from the Battle Game Color range by Amazing Art, intended for painting figures, miniatures and wargaming armies. Dark Sand is a darker sand, khaki-leaning color with a warm earthy tone. The paint covers well, leaves a matte finish once dry and layers easily, so it serves for a base coat as well as for toning and picking out details. It is applied with a brush and, once thinned with water, with an airbrush too. It is thinned and cleaned exclusively with water or acrylic thinner, never with lacquer (nitro) thinner. On glossy, smooth surfaces apply a suitable primer first and lay the paint on in thin coats - that preserves both the coverage and the fine detail of the casting. It is not a kit but a consumable paint.
For painters of figures and vehicles focusing on desert schemes and dusty surfaces. It covers well for the brush, and once thinned with water it can be sprayed with an airbrush.
A water-based acrylic - clean brushes and the airbrush with water immediately after work, keep the bottle tightly closed and out of the reach of children.
