It is not a model of an aircraft but a refining accessory intended for displaying the machine with a service panel uncovered. The set holds the filling of the bay with blocks of equipment, cabling and the frame of the opening.
The F/A-18 Hornet is an American multirole carrier aircraft whose fuselage hides extensive electronic equipment accessible through service panels. During maintenance the bays are opened and reveal the layout of the individual blocks. An uncovered service bay is a rewarding subject on display and diorama models.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and sand the surfaces with breathing protection. Paint the bay before gluing it in and bring it out with a wash and a dry brush so that the individual blocks show. Use cyanoacrylate for gluing, and cut the opening in the fuselage accurately beforehand.
This is an accessory to a plastic model, not a kit on its own. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
