Quinta Studio 1:48 F/A-18A is a set of colored 3D interior decals on decal paper, cut for the kit from Hobby Boss. It is the smaller version of the set and an accessory to a model, not a kit.

Quinta Studio prints interior details in layers straight onto decal paper. The result has raised relief and finished colors, so it is applied to a model as a decal but looks like an assembled etched and painted set. This set is the smaller version, and the full version is a separate item — before buying, then, choose according to how much detail you want. The set is meant for the F/A-18A kit from Hobby Boss in 1:48 scale; Quinta has the same types cut for the kits of other manufacturers too, so the target kit is an important distinguishing detail here. The model is not included in the package.
The F/A-18 Hornet is a twin-engine carrier aircraft able to carry out fighter and attack tasks alike, with markedly swept leading-edge extensions at the wing root and a pair of canted vertical tails. The A version is the single-seater, from the first generation of the type. Thanks to its large displays and its broken-up instrument panel, the cockpit of the Hornet is a rewarding place for detailing — and that is exactly where the 3D decals are aimed.
Paint the interior first and let it dry through. The rule about a glossy base holds here too: what belongs under a decal film is a smooth glossy surface, because on a matte and rough surface air is held and the edges show up as silvering. Cut the individual features out one at a time, soak them for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and carry them into place with a brush or tweezers with soft jaws. Use neither softener nor setting solution — their chemistry attacks the printed resin and ruins the feature. Lukewarm water alone will do, and press the feature down with a cotton bud; it has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on the glossy varnish. Once dry, fix the interior with matte varnish and pick the edges out with a dry brush if you wish.
