Quinta Studio prints three-dimensional elements of the interior on decal paper and treats them in color straight away. The instrument panel and the side panels are thus plastic and legible without a single stroke of a brush. The set is stuck onto the parts of a plastic kit which you obtain separately - it is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory. It is the smaller variant of the set, that is, a narrower selection of elements than in the full version. Check the exact contents of the package on the packaging. The dimensions and the shapes are based on the Hobby Boss kit.
The F/A-18E Super Hornet is a single-seat carrier-borne multi-role aircraft of the US Navy. Against the older versions of the Hornet it is larger, it has an enlarged wing, angular air intakes and more powerful engines, so it carries more fuel and more external stores. It entered service at the turn of the millennium and fills fighter as well as strike tasks. The cockpit is modern, built around large-area displays, and it is precisely the large displays without classic dials that are hard to paint, so a color decal is especially useful here.
The procedure differs from that for classic wet decals, so go by the instructions in the package. Degrease the base, spray the interior parts with a base color and let them cure fully. Transfer the elements with sharp tweezers and seat them calmly and at the first attempt. Put the decal softener aside, though, as it would damage the printed resin. Before sticking the set on, lay it on dry and check how it suits. In 1:48 scale the elements are small, so good light and, if need be, a magnifier come in handy. The finished interior is unified by a gentle dark wash and fixed with matte varnish.
The package holds only decals. The kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
