Replacement environmental control system (ECS) ducts for a model of the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet in 1:48 scale, in the version for early aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is an American carrier-based multirole aircraft; the letter E marks the single-seat version, the letter F the two-seat one. The aircraft was built in several production batches and the individual batches differ from one another in small details of the external equipment. Differences of exactly that kind tend to show on a model more than their size would suggest.
Replacement ducting of the environmental control system, abbreviated ECS, in the version for early aircraft. It replaces the parts from the kit and offers a finer shape. Which parts the package holds and exactly where they belong is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
First check against photographs of the real aircraft that you are building a machine from an early batch; later aircraft have different shapes in this place and the set would not fit them. Cut off the surplus material with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder flat. Carefully cut away the plastic part being replaced and level the surface. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cement for polystyrene has no effect here; use super glue applied in drops.
For modelers who build a specific aircraft and want even the small external equipment to match, and for those who are not satisfied with the shape of the part from the kit. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
