The set contains resin landing gear doors for the model of the Lockheed Martin F/A-22A Raptor fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but an aftermarket accessory from the maker Quickboost (a line of the Aires brand), which replaces the plastic parts from the box with more faithfully cast resin parts with finer detail on the inner as well as the outer side of the doors.
The F-22 Raptor is an American twin-engine fifth-generation air superiority fighter. It combines a stealth design, supersonic flight without afterburner and thrust vectoring. The landing gear doors are among the visible parts on the model, so refining them tells noticeably on the final realism of the landing gear.
First wash any mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces. Glue the resin with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways while sanding. Before painting we recommend a base color (primer) for good adhesion.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without glue. The base kit and paints are not included in the package.
