The complete photo-etched collection Eduard Big Ed A-10C Thunderbolt II 1:48: several photo-etched and masking sets together for detailed refinement of a kit of the attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
Big Ed is a collection of several separate Eduard detail sets brought together in one package for 1:48 scale. It typically contains photo-etched parts for the interior and the exterior, colored photo-etch where applicable, and a set of paint masks. This is not an aircraft model but a set of accessories with which you refine the matching kit of the A-10C attack aircraft. The colored photo-etched parts are pre-printed, and the fine engraving and three-dimensional detail markedly raise the fidelity of both the cockpit and the surface.
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II, nicknamed Warthog, is an American attack aircraft meant for close support of ground forces and for destroying armor. Its design is built around a seven-barrel rotary cannon and extensive armor around the cockpit. The A-10C version brought updated avionics, a digital cockpit and the ability to deliver precision-guided munitions.
Separate the photo-etched parts on a hard surface with a sharp knife and bend them in a bending tool or between two blades. Use cyanoacrylate glue or a special glue for photo-etch to attach them. Do not overcoat colored photo-etch with aggressive varnishes. Lay the masks on dry paint and lift them while the last coat is still tacky.
This is a set of accessories, not a standalone model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
