The Hispano cannons of 20 mm caliber are built here in short fairings, which matches the particular form of the armament on this variant. The metal parts have a hollow muzzle and a faithful profile.
The Fairey Firefly was a British carrier-based fighter and reconnaissance aircraft from the Second World War and the postwar years. Its main armament was the wing-mounted 20 mm Hispano cannons, on some versions partly covered by short fairings.
Cut off the original plastic barrels and replace them with the metal parts, which are glued with cyanoacrylate into drilled holes. The version in short fairings differs from the build with uncovered barrels, so take care to choose the right set for your variant.
This is a detail part, not a model of the aircraft. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
