Finnish national aircraft insignia vol. II painting masks 1:48 (MH models)

A set of airbrush masks from MH models for spraying the Finnish national aircraft insignia in 1:48 scale. This is not an airplane model but a painting aid. The Finnish national aircraft insignia was an independent state symbol of the Finnish Air Force used between 1918 and 1945. The masks are pre-cut from a self-adhesive masking film and they let you spray the insignia instead of applying decals.

The set

This set, designated vol. II, holds the insignia in the three size variants given in its name: 1220, 1150 and 1024 mm, that is the smaller graduated sizes for different placements on the model. The Finnish name for the insignia is hakaristi.

Use

• Stick the pre-cut mask in the chosen size onto the surface of the model
• Spray the paint with an airbrush, with sharply outlined edges
• Peel the mask off once the paint has dried to reveal a clean symbol

Who the set is for

The accessory will appeal to modelers of Finnish aircraft of the period who want their national insignia sprayed in paint for a more durable and more convincing result than decals give.

This is a painting aid, not a model in its own right. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
