MH models Finnish hakaristi vol.III 1:48 are painting masks for spraying the Finnish national marking in several sizes.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of painting masks from MH models serves for spraying the Finnish aircraft national marking, the hakaristi, in 1:48 scale. The vol.III package contains the marking in three sizes (matching 940 mm, 865 mm and 790 mm on the real aircraft), so it covers various placements and types of machine.
The hakaristi was the national marking of the Finnish Air Force, used from the end of the First World War until the middle of the 1940s. Its size and placement differed from one aircraft type to another, which is why the masks are supplied in graded sizes. Spraying through a mask gives a sharper and more durable result than a decal, especially on broken-up surfaces.
The surface has to be smooth, clean and degreased. Seat the mask precisely and without bubbles, spray the underlying (usually light) area first and then the color of the marking itself. Spray in thin coats at right angles to the surface and lift the mask before the paint has fully cured.
This is a masking accessory, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
