About product

Pilot's seat FM-1 Wildcat / Martlet Mk.V 1:48 (Eduard PRINT)

This accessory is NOT an aircraft kit but a fine detail part for refining a cockpit. It is a 3D printed resin pilot's seat for the FM-1 Wildcat carrier fighter, or its British version the Martlet Mk.V, in 1:48 scale. Direct 3D printing allows crisp edges, thin walls and faithful reproduction of detail that injection-molded plastic cannot manage.

The real subject

The FM-1 was the licensed version of the Grumman Wildcat fighter built by General Motors for the American and British navies in the Second World War. A finely made seat markedly lifts the look of an open cockpit, which is clearly visible on a finished model.

Fitting and tips

  • Separate the part carefully from the print supports and clean it up.
  • Before gluing, wash off any residue and degrease it.
  • Glue with cyanoacrylate glue.
  • Protect your airways while sanding.

Who it is for

  • Modelers who want a realistic cockpit without much work.
  • Builders with experience of resin accessories.

This is a standalone detail part. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.

FAQ

No, this is a standalone detail part, a pilot's seat, for refining the cockpit of your model.

Resin made by direct 3D printing, which allows very fine detail.

Cyanoacrylate glue is recommended; ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on resin.
