Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of decals from the Czech manufacturer Eduard with national insignia for the model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 fighter in 1:48 scale. The set serves as a replacement for or an addition to the markings from the base kit; it comes in useful above all when the original decals do not suit in quality of print, in age or in size. It is not a kit, and the decals are used to finish a model that is already being built.
Alongside the Bf 109 the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was the second pillar of the German fighter force of the Second World War. The A-8 version, powered by the BMW 801 radial engine, was among the most numerously produced variants of the whole series and from 1944 bore the main weight of the defense of the Reich against Allied bomber formations. On the machines of this era the national insignia appeared in several simplified forms that differed in size as well as in placing.
The base under the decals should be gloss or semi-gloss, as silvering threatens on a matte surface. Soak the insignia briefly in lukewarm water, settle it in place into a drop of water and press the surplus out from the center toward the edges with a soft cloth. Decal softening solutions help across riveted and undulating surfaces. Once dry, coat the whole model with a final varnish.
This is a decal sheet; the kit of the aircraft, glue and paints are not included in the package. The historical markings are reproduced exclusively for documentary and modeling purposes.
