Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the French two-seat jet trainer in 1:48 scale from AMK (Avantgarde Model Kits). The kit stands out for its fine modern engineering, contains a photo-etched fret and metal parts and, according to the manufacturer, also offers a variant with a transparent fuselage that lets you show the internal structure. The characteristic feature of the subject is its butterfly (V-shaped) tail surfaces.
The Fouga CM.170 Magister was designed as a basic jet trainer for the French Air Force, powered by a pair of small Turbomeca Marbore turbines. The prototype flew in 1952 and the machine entered service in 1956. The Magister became one of the first purely jet-powered trainers in the world and served with a number of air forces; its recognition feature is precisely the butterfly tail.
Use liquid cement for plastic and glue the photo-etched and metal parts with cyanoacrylate. Finish and paint the two-seat cockpit before you close the fuselage; if you are building the variant with the transparent fuselage, paint the internal structure all the more carefully. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush; the fine engraved detail comes out with a light wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
