Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the German Friedrichshafen FF 33E reconnaissance floatplane biplane of the First World War in 1:48 scale. It is a short-run model with finely rendered fabric surfaces and a larger number of struts. Short-run molds call for targeted gluing and cleaning up of the parts; the finished model is a rewarding subject for lovers of Great War aviation.
The Friedrichshafen FF 33 was a German reconnaissance floatplane biplane of the First World War. The FF 33E version was the main reconnaissance variant with longer twin floats and an inline Benz engine; it served for naval reconnaissance from coastal stations and from ships. It was a typical seaplane of its day, combining long range with good behavior on takeoff from water.
Because this is a short-run kit, dry-fit the parts first, clean up the sprue gate remnants and glue in a targeted way with thin cement for plastic; for fine parts use super glue if needed. On a biplane, seat the interplane struts carefully and add the rigging with thin thread once it is assembled. Pay attention to anchoring the floats and their struts firmly. The fabric surfaces come alive after gentle shading and a matte clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
