This is an airbrush masking stencil from 77propeller in 1:48 scale. It is not a mask for covering glazing but a reusable stencil with a fine wavelet pattern that you hold against the surface and spray through with an airbrush to create the effect of wear and of paint bleached on the leading edge of the wing. The stencil can be bent a little, so the effect can be reached in less accessible places too.
Lay the stencil on the leading edge and hold it lightly or fix it temporarily. With an airbrush apply a lighter or a darker shade in fine coats so that a natural transition is formed. Combining it with further stencils gives a richer effect of scuffed areas. The stencil is reusable and will serve again once it has been cleaned.
This is an aid for spraying effects, not a paint and not a kit. Paints are not included in the package; while spraying, provide ventilation and respiratory protection.
