The resin detail set Fw 190A-3 engine set in 1:48 scale from Aires. It is a faithful casting of the powerplant as an accessory for a kit, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is a resin accessory for the engine section of a plastic kit of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-3 fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail set with a faithfully rendered powerplant and the adjoining parts, which makes it possible to build the machine with the engine cowling open.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-3 was one of the early production versions of the famous German fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by the air-cooled BMW 801 radial engine, for which a tightly fitting cowling was typical. An exposed engine section is among the most rewarding subjects for a detailed treatment of this machine.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the casting blocks and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is advisable to keep checking the fit with the kit parts, above all with the cowling and its panels, which are often reworked to show the engine open. Sand resin with respiratory protection. The engine comes into its own once painted, with the lines picked out and a gentle patina added.
This is a resin detail set, that is, an accessory for a kit. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
