A printed cockpit for the Fw-190A-6 in 1:48 scale by Eduard, the complete fittings of the pilot's compartment of the German fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the pilot's compartment of a model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-6 in 1:48 scale with a workshop assembly made by three-dimensional printing. On a cockpit this technology tells most strikingly of all accessories: the instrument panel, the side panels with their controls and the seat come out with a sharpness that molded plastic will not approach in this scale. Beside the printed parts the manufacturer encloses pre-painted photo-etched parts and decals for the instruments. The set is intended to be fitted into a kit already obtained.
The Fw 190 A-6 came about in the middle of 1943, when the raids of the American daylight formations called for heavier fire. It therefore received a lightened wing designed to carry four 20 mm cannons instead of the earlier mixed armament. The cockpit stayed roomy and well insulated against noise, with an excellent view through the teardrop canopy, a quality pilots valued on this type from the start. It is precisely on a fighter with such a clear pilot's compartment that it makes sense to invest in detailed cockpit fittings, because they really are visible under the canopy.
Fit the seat and the side consoles dry and check the height, so that the canopy closes at the end. Deal with the painting by sub-assemblies and finish the instruments only after the base coat has dried. A drop of clear varnish on the dials creates the impression of glass better than any painting. Leave the cockpit open, or the work put in will stay hidden.
The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in this item.
