A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the small air scoops of the American Vought F-8 Crusader carrier fighter in 1:72 scale. The Crusader was a supersonic machine of the US Navy, famous for its variable-incidence wing that could be tilted and for its heavy gun armament. The part is meant for more experienced modelers who work with resin.
Air scoops and cooling outlets are among the small things that give the fuselage of a fighter an accurate technical look. The resin casting offers sharper edges and a finer rendering than the simplified plastic part from the box, and on the outlets the depth may be realistically suggested as well. Once fitted and painted, these details make a model convincing even from close up.
