A detail cockpit set for the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 fighter in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Aires. It is a resin accessory that replaces the simplified cockpit interior from a plastic kit with a finely detailed assembly: a cockpit tub, an instrument panel, side consoles, a seat and the controls.
The Fw 190A-8 was one of the most widespread production versions of the German fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by the air-cooled BMW 801 radial engine and, compared with the older versions of the A series, carried stronger armament and changes to the fuel system.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection while sanding. The interior comes into its own once painted and the details picked out gently with a wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
