This is not an airplane kit but a Big Sin combined set of add-ons from Eduard for the plastic model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 in 1:48 scale. It brings together in one package several Brassin resin sets that are also sold separately. The ESSENTIAL designation marks the basic coverage of the key details.
The set concentrates on the cockpit, the landing flaps, the wheels and the landing gear legs. The resin castings replace the plastic parts from the box and bring a fineness that injection-molded plastic cannot reach. The landing gear legs are usually made of a tougher material for greater load capacity. The exact make-up follows the manufacturer's catalog.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Sand resin with respiratory protection. Paint the cockpit carefully and lift it with a wash. Check the fit dry before gluing.
This is an add-on set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
