A resin kit from the Czech manufacturer Plus Model in 1:48 scale. It captures a heavy German generator (generating set) from the period of the Second World War, a piece of rear area equipment that no field airfield or workshop could do without. The kit is intended for more experienced modelers used to working with resin.
Mobile generating sets provided the German army with electric power everywhere the fixed network did not reach: they fed field workshops, signals centers, searchlights and the equipment of airfields, and they helped in starting aircraft. Heavier sets were transported on chassis or on the cargo beds of trucks and belonged to the inconspicuous but indispensable backbone of wartime logistics.
Before building, wash the castings with warm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off and sand the marks down with protection for your airways. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For color, German gray or the later dark yellow suggests itself, completed with technical details, that is cables, plates and the dirt of use. Oil washes will bring the ribbing and the panels out, and pigments will add dust and traces of oil around the engine.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
