Responsibility details are not available.
Under the number Sd.Kfz. 171 the German army listed the Panther medium tank, also designated Pz.Kpfw. V. It came about as an answer to Soviet armor and combined strong gun armament with a sloping front plate, which raised resistance without having to add thickness of plate. The 7.5 cm gun had a barrel 70 calibers long and a high muzzle velocity, so it hit targets at long range. The road wheels were interleaved and the suspension was sprung by torsion bars, which let the vehicle ride more calmly across country than the older types. The Ausf. A version came after the Ausf. D and you can tell it by the ball mount for the machine gun in the hull front plate and by the cast commander cupola.
This is a kit to be assembled and painted. In 1:48 scale the finished model works out at roughly eighteen centimeters long with the gun included. The number of parts, the extent of the interior fittings and the choice of marking options are given in the manufacturer instructions.
Clean the parts of surplus material and production marks and sand the mating surfaces. Dry fit the assembly first and only then lay on a cement meant for plastic models. The road wheels and the tracks are more comfortable to paint before you seat them for good, because afterwards they are hard to reach. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. Apply the masking tapes before spraying and take them off as soon as the paint has set.
The set will please modelers of German equipment of the Second World War as well as those who build in a smaller scale and watch the room in a display case. Paints, glue, thinner and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
