Before separating the resin parts from the supports, warm them briefly in hot water or with a hair dryer so that the material does not shatter. Wash them in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry, glue with super glue and protect your breathing while sanding. The sheet metal look and the lettering stand out after the base color with a wash to pick them out and light weathering.
