A pair of turned metal barrels for the Spandau LMG 08/15 machine gun in 1:48 scale from MASTER. A faithful replacement for the plastic parts for German fighters of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains two turned metal barrels for the German Spandau LMG 08/15 aircraft machine gun of 7.92 mm caliber with a faithfully rendered perforated cooling jacket. The parts replace the plastic barrels from the box and markedly refine the look of the armament on models in 1:48 scale. The manufacturer is the Polish brand MASTER.
The LMG 08/15 was the standard fixed synchronized machine gun of German fighters in the First World War. It was derived from the Maxim heavy machine gun and was most often mounted as a pair in front of the cockpit, firing through the arc of the propeller. You will meet it on types such as the Fokker D.VII, the Albatros D.III and D.V or the Pfalz.
Cut off the plastic barrels and clean up the seating holes. Glue the metal parts with cyanoacrylate. The cooling jacket looks best in a dark metal shade; gentle drybrushing will bring out the perforation and the rivets.
This is an add-on detail set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
