The Kits-World Gloster Meteor F.8 3D full color instrument panels (1:48) is a set of raised decals that take the place of laboriously painting the instrument panel and the side panels of the cockpit. It is an accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set brings 3D color decals of the instrument panel and the side consoles of the cockpit of the Gloster Meteor F.8 fighter. It is neither a model nor ordinary fuselage markings, but relief decals with a raised layer that combine the easy application of a decal with faithful color and three-dimensional detail. A gloss layer imitating glass covers the instrument dials. The set is made for the matching plastic model of the Meteor F.8 in 1:48 scale.
The Gloster Meteor was the first British jet fighter used in the Second World War. The F.8 version became the main postwar single-seat fighter variant with a lengthened fuselage and a new canopy, and it served for a long time with the Royal Air Force and with foreign air forces.
Take the instrument panel out before the model is glued, or leave it easily accessible. Separate the relief decal, dip it briefly in lukewarm water, slide it onto the surface of the panel and line it up carefully. Given the thickness of the film a gentle decal softener helps; do not go over the gloss dials with a matte varnish, so that they keep the glass effect.
This is a separate cockpit detailing accessory. The plastic model and the paints are not included in the package.
