A combined photo-etched set from Eduard for the American Grumman F3F-2 carrier fighter biplane in 1:48 scale, prepared for the Accurate Miniatures plastic kit. It brings fine metal parts that replace or complement the plastic features and raise the detail of the cockpit and the exterior considerably. It is not a model: it is an accessory to a finished kit. Eduard is a Czech manufacturer (Obrnice near Most) famous for exactly these photo-etched sets.
Photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife on a mat, bent with a bending tool or a ruler and glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Color-printed parts only need to be fixed lightly, and the rest are painted once they are glued on.
For more advanced modelers who want to take the detail of the F3F-2 biplane beyond the out-of-the-box state.
This is a detail accessory, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
