Eduard 1:48 Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat late LööKplus is an extended add-on set for a model of the late version of the carrier fighter. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model.

An add-on set from Eduard for building a model of the Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat carrier fighter in the late form, scale 1:48. LööKplus is the extended variant of the LööK line: the basis is a color-printed instrument panel completed with pre-painted steel seat belts, and to that the set adds further three-dimensionally printed parts. It is not a model of the aircraft, but an assembly of parts that replace selected parts of a plastic kit.
A Zoom set is a smaller, pre-painted selection from a full photo-etched set and concerns mainly the cockpit. A full photo-etched set is more extensive and also covers the exterior details of the airframe. Masks are self-adhesive templates for the glazing and the wheels. Bundle sets group several sets into one package, and decal sets hold only markings. LööK is a printed instrument panel with belts and LööKplus is the same basis extended with further printed parts. So if you are looking only for a quick improvement of the cockpit, LööK will do; if you want to reach elsewhere as well, the extended variant is in order.
The Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat was the earlier version of the famous carrier fighter with a fixed, non-folding wing and four heavy machine guns. It was powered by an air-cooled Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp radial engine. The late machines differ from the early ones in details of the airframe, the armament and the cockpit equipment - which is exactly why the accessories for the two forms do not overlap and it is a good idea to watch the designation.
First wash the printed parts in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry. Separate them from the carrier structure with a sharp scalpel or a fine saw, never break them off. They are glued with super glue; on larger areas a gel one is more suitable. Sand the traces of the supports with fine paper and protect your breathing while sanding. Leave the pre-painted panel and the belts in their colors and only shape the belts with tweezers. Always try the fit of the parts dry before you reach for the glue.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
