An injection-molded plastic kit of the Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. The model offers finely engraved surfaces, a well broken-down cockpit and faithful shapes of the fuselage and the wings. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The F6F Hellcat was a single-engined carrier fighter of US naval aviation, which became one of the most successful fighters of the Pacific theater. The F6F-3 version was the first variant fielded in series. It was powered by the powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine, and thanks to its robust structure and heavy armament the Hellcat achieved a high kill ratio.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, then sand and fill the fuselage seams. Apply a primer before painting and lay the shades on with an airbrush coat by coat. Carrier fighters often wear the blue-gray camouflage scheme of the US Navy; for the decals we recommend a gloss coat as a base and matte varnish for the final unifying coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
