A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set renders the Soviet twin-barrel 23 mm GSh-23 aircraft cannon that armed the late versions of the MiG-21 fighter in 1:48 scale. It faithfully captures the shape of the pair of barrels and of the muzzle brakes, which the plastic from the box handles only in a simplified way. The part is meant for modelers who want to render the armament of the aircraft correctly.
The cannon in its position under the fuselage is clearly visible on a finished model and the way it is rendered has a strong effect on accuracy. The resin casting offers fine barrels with the right proportions and sharp edges that a plastic part usually cannot reach. Once painted in metallic shades with light weathering, the armament looks convincing even from close up.
