1:48 Harrier GR Mk.7/9 exhaust nozzles is an Eduard BRASSIN resin detail set for a model of the Harrier II attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the BRASSIN range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains resin replicas of the swiveling exhaust nozzles for a model of the Harrier GR Mk.7 and GR Mk.9 in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an upgrade accessory that replaces the plastic parts with a more accurate casting with a faithful shape and nozzle detail.
The Harrier GR Mk.7 and the later GR Mk.9 were British versions of the Harrier II attack aircraft with vertical and short takeoff capability. The characteristic feature of the propulsion is the four swiveling nozzles, which direct the thrust of the engine and make vertical takeoff and landing possible. The aircraft was used for close air support and for attacks on ground targets.
Wash the castings to remove any residue of the mold release agent, cut away the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. Paint the nozzles in metallic and heat-resistant shades and add weathering to match the heat-stressed surfaces.
This is an accessory resin set, not a complete model. The paints, the glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
