Quickboost 1:48 Hawker Hurricane Mk. I exhausts is a resin accessory with faithfully cast exhaust stubs for a plastic model of this British fighter.

This is a resin detail set in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost brand, not a stand-alone model of the airplane. The package replaces the exhaust stubs from the plastic kit with more finely cast resin parts with hollow mouths and a clearly readable shape. Once painted it markedly livens up the sides of the engine area of a model.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk. I was a British single-seat fighter with a Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine and mixed construction of the fuselage. Together with the Spitfire it formed the backbone of the British fighter defense during the air battle of 1940 and accounted for a considerable part of the aerial successes of that time. The Mk. I version was the early production pattern.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. We recommend painting the mouths of the exhausts in shades of rust and burnt metal and picking them out with a dark wash.
This is a resin accessory for more experienced modelers, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
