Hawker Hurricane Mk.I de Havilland propeller with a jig (1:48, Aires/Quickboost) is a resin de Havilland type propeller including a jig for the correct seating of the blades. A detail accessory for a kit in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a resin de Havilland type propeller for the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I fighter in 1:48 scale, plus a jig that makes it easier to set the blades at the correct angle and spacing. This is not an airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the propeller from the base kit with a more faithful casting.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was a British fighter of the early Second World War, a key machine during the Battle of Britain. Some of the aircraft flew with a de Havilland type propeller; the exact shape and the pitch of the blades strongly affect the final look of the model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up; protect your airways when sanding. Seat the blades with the help of the enclosed jig and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The propeller is usually painted in a dark shade with warning tips on the blades to match the real aircraft.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
