The set replaces the main wheels on models of the German twin-engine Heinkel He 111 bomber in 1:48 scale. According to the name it matches the early form of the machine. The rubber has a settled contact patch, so once finished the model stands on flat footprints like a real aircraft on a grass field. For later machines the brand lists a separate item.
Compared with fighters the bomber was a markedly heavier machine and its tires deformed noticeably under load. The parts from the box tend to be perfectly circular and the model therefore looks unnaturally light. Replacing the wheels removes that impression without your touching the rest of the landing gear, and it shows above all on a model standing on a flat board.
Offer the wheel up to the leg dry and find the position in which the settled area lies flat on the surface. The rubber looks more faithful in a dark gray tone than in pure black. Finally dust the circumference with a lighter pigment according to the surface your aircraft is to operate from; a grass airfield calls for a different shade from a concrete runway.
