This set from the SPACE line of the Czech manufacturer Eduard is intended to draw out the interior of a plastic model of the OV-10D+ Bronco in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory: color 3D decals are applied to the parts of the cabin and replace the lengthy coloring of the instruments with a brush. The print has three-dimensional relief, so the instrument panel and the side panels do not read flat. In 1:72 scale this solution is quicker as well as more accurate than painting.
The OV-10 Bronco is a twin-boom observation and light attack aircraft with a pair of turboprop engines, an exceptional view from its glazed cabin and the ability to operate from short and unprepared surfaces. It arose for the direct support of ground units and for finding and marking targets. The OV-10D version was modified for night observation and received a lengthened nose with a sensor turret; the designation D with a plus is tied to further changes to the equipment and the airframe on machines of the US Marine Corps. Broncos were also used to train forward air controllers.
Before applying them, check whether the surfaces of the cabin are smooth and free of burrs; raised plastic imitations of instruments usually pay to be sanded away, so that a decal seats over its whole area. In 1:72 scale every feature is small, so sharp tweezers, good light and a steady hand come in useful. Work through the individual parts and adjust the position while the decal can still be moved. Let the finished interior dry out properly and even it out with a matte varnish if need be before you start closing the fuselage.
