A resin exhaust for the Heinkel He 51.B in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost brand - an accurate detail accessory; this is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Resin exhaust pipes of the Quickboost brand for the German Heinkel He 51.B biplane fighter in 1:48 scale. This is not an airplane model but an accurate replacement part for more experienced modelers that takes the place of the plastic exhausts from a kit with a finer casting with a faithful shape and marked outlets. The exhausts are among the rewarding visible details that are often picked out with weathering.
The Heinkel He 51 was a single-engine biplane of the first half of the 1930s, powered by a V12 engine, known above all from its service in the Spanish Civil War and later in the training role. The exhaust pipes on the sides of the fuselage are clearly visible from a distance; in plastic they tend to be coarsely molded and without outlets. The resin replacement is more faithful and takes darkening and rusty shades better. The part is meant to refine an existing He 51 model in the same scale.
Wash the resin part in lukewarm soapy water to remove any mold release residue from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a fine saw and clean up the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. Bond it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The exhausts come alive once they are painted with a dark metal base and then drybrushed or treated with pigments for a rusty, burnt look.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin accessory for completing a model. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
