Color 3D interior elements for vehicles of the HMMWV family in 1:48 scale, prepared for the Tamiya kit. They are applied from water.
Responsibility details are not available.
The HMMWV, commonly called the Humvee, is an American light all-wheel-drive off-road vehicle introduced in the 1980s. It appeared in many forms, from an open troop carrier to armored variants, and became the typical transport of the US Army. On a model the cab is usually open to view from every side.
Color 3D interior elements: the instrument panel, the center console, the seats and the other surfaces of the cab. The elements are printed with relief, so they have real depth, and they are painted, labels and dial faces included.
The elements are printed on a decal backing paper and are applied like a decal. Cut the part out, dip it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds reliably only on a gloss clear coat, that is on Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22. Press it down with a soft tool from the center outward, and on the seats and other broken-up surfaces seat the element into the recesses first and help it with a drop of super glue. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer.
For modelers building the vehicle with the doors open or without a roof, and for dioramas where the cab is in view. Because the elements are painted from the factory, they save work for anyone glad to avoid picking out instruments by hand. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
