A photo-etched set of side protective plates for the German Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär assault gun, late version, in 1:35 scale is an accessory for a Dragon 6081 kit you already own, not a model of the vehicle. The set is made by Voyager Model.

An add-on set of photo-etched brass sheet from Voyager Model, meant for reworking the Dragon 6081 kit, which has to be obtained separately. It is not a kit of the vehicle. The set replaces the side protective plates and their attachment, that is parts that make up a pronounced part of the silhouette of the vehicle and on which the excessive thickness of plastic is apparent at first glance.
The Sturmpanzer IV, nicknamed Brummbär, was a German tracked assault gun of the period of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. In a closed superstructure it carried a short howitzer of large caliber meant for destroying fortifications and built-up areas in support of infantry. The vehicles went through several production series, which differed in the shape of the superstructure, the placing of the machine gun and other details. The late fit was routinely supplemented with thin sheet side plates hung along the hull.
The side plates are an ideal area for working with weathering, because they were of thin sheet, rusted quickly and had the paint rubbed off them. Proceed in layers: a base for metal, the covering color, then a darker wash into the corners and at the hangers, where dirt naturally holds, and finally a dry brush in a lighter shade on the edges. Suggest wear rather with a dark color from a fine brush than by exposing metal; in scale it comes across better. Do not apply rust over the whole area but in the places where water runs down, that is under the attachment and at the lower edge. If you want to bend a plate or take a corner off it, do so before painting, so that the damage carries through into the layer of weathering as well. Then dust the lower edges with pigment in the color of the ground you are setting the model into.
The set is an accessory for a kit, not a standalone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
