A resin pilot's seat for the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I in 1:48 scale from CMK is cast without a harness, so you add the straps to it according to your own habit. The basis of the build is the Airfix kit.

This is a resin interior accessory, not a kit of an aircraft. The casting replaces the pilot's seat in an injection-molded Hurricane model in 1:48 scale. Unlike the variant with a cast harness, this seat is on its own, which is an advantage for a modeler who wants to use their own photo-etched or fabric straps and needs a clean shell without cast webbing for them.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was a British single-engine fighter of mixed construction, in which the framework of the fuselage was formed by a welded tubular truss. The pilot's seat was hung in this framework and its surroundings remained fairly open, so with the cockpit canopy slid back more is visible of it than on all-metal structures. The seats of British fighters of the time used to be pressed from a light material and had a characteristic rounded shape of the backrest with a cutout for the pilot's back and his equipment.
Wash the casting with lukewarm soapy water and let it dry, otherwise the paint will not hold on the residues of mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a saw and level the back side so that the seat sits at the right angle. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). If you are going to add photo-etched straps, glue them on only after the base color of the seat has been sprayed, and give the edges of the straps a light ripple before gluing, so that they look like fabric and not like sheet metal. Finally go over the shell with a dark wash into the shadows and bring the edges out with a dry brush, or suggest the wear from the pilot's equipment.
This is an accessory for modelers, not a standalone kit. The base Airfix model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
