The Aires 1:72 Morane-Saulnier M.S.406 wheels and masking film is a resin accessory with finely cast wheels and a set of masks for a plastic model of this French fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail set in 1:72 scale from Aires, not an airplane model in its own right. The package replaces the wheels from a plastic kit with more faithfully cast resin parts carrying a well-worked tire tread pattern and hub detail. Masking film is included too, which makes it easier to paint the wheels cleanly, and the cockpit glazing if needed.
The Morane-Saulnier M.S.406 was the main French fighter at the start of the Second World War. It was powered by a Hispano-Suiza V12 engine, and its armament consisted of a cannon firing through the propeller hub plus machine guns. Compared with its contemporaries it was among the less powerful, yet the French Air Force took it into the fighting of 1940 and the aircraft served with further users as well.
First wash the resin parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Lay the masks on a clean, degreased surface and spray in thin coats so that the paint does not creep under the edge.
This is a resin accessory for more experienced modelers, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
