A detail accessory for models of the Soviet Polikarpov I-16 fighter in 1:48 scale. It is a vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy from the Rob Taurus brand, and the package contains two pieces. It is not an airplane model but a replacement canopy including the windscreen.
Thin-walled, clear glazing looks more realistic in scale and reveals the interior of the cockpit better. The two pieces in the package give you a reserve in case of a mistake while cutting. It replaces the thicker part from the box.
Cut the parts out with a margin, sand the edges down thin and check the fit dry. Glue them with super glue or with a cement for clear parts, so that the glazing does not fog up.
The accessory contains no plastic model and no paints; it serves only as a replacement canopy.
