About product

Quickboost landing gear doors for the J2M3 Raiden (1:48)

A resin detail accessory from Quickboost, made by Aires, meant to refine a plastic kit of the Japanese Mitsubishi J2M3 Raiden interceptor in 1:48 scale. The finely cast landing gear doors replace the thicker plastic parts and capture both their shape and their inner structure better.

The real subject

The J2M Raiden (Allied reporting name Jack) was an interceptor of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service from the Second World War, designed for a fast climb and an interception. The J2M3 version was one of the main production variants.

Usage tips

Wash the parts to remove mold release, separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the inner face of the doors to match the wheel bay.

Who it is for

  • For modelers who want to refine the landing gear of their Raiden kit.
  • For builders with experience of resin accessories.

It is an accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The kit itself is not included in the package.
