This set from the Czech maker Firma49 holds a 3D-printed resin model of the ten-ton jack that belonged to the on-board and maintenance equipment of the German Panzer III and Panzer IV tanks. The model is in 1:48 scale. It is not a vehicle kit but a faithful accessory for dioramas and superdetailing.
The jack serves either as part of the stowed tools on the tank hull or as a standalone element of a maintenance scene, where the crew lifts the vehicle to change road wheels or tracks. The fine resin casting replaces the simplified plastic parts even in the smaller scale.
Wash the uncured print resin residue off the small part, cut away the print supports and clean up the surfaces. Glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. For a metal look, start from a dark base and add a hint of rust and oil stains.
The set holds the resin accessory only. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
