Decals 1:48 with the markings of British squadrons flying the Jaguar, an accessory for a kit of this attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Jaguar is the fruit of a British and French agreement of 1965. The development was covered by the SEPECAT association, that is, a joint undertaking of the firms Breguet and British Aircraft Corporation, and the original requirement was for a trainer with combat capability. Out of the project there finally grew a subsonic attack aircraft with a pair of Adour engines, able to carry weapons from short and unpaved runways.
The British prototype designated S-06 got into the air at the end of 1969 and the squadrons of the Royal Air Force took delivery of production machines in the mid-1970s. In Britain and in France the type has meanwhile finished its service, but for a long time afterward it stayed in the armament of other operators outside Europe. In that time it went through several upgrades of avionics and became for the British crews a reliable workhorse with the reputation of an aircraft that is not easily broken.
Decals age more slowly than plastic, but not indefinitely. When a sheet lies in the warm for a longer time the binder becomes brittle and the design falls apart into pieces while being soaked. It helps to go over the printing with a thin layer of clear varnish in an aerosol, let it dry and only then cut the individual designs out. You thereby create a new carrier film of your own that holds the drawing together.
