A photo-etched accessory set for the model of the Swedish JAS-39 Gripen multirole combat aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The JAS-39 Gripen is a Swedish multirole combat aircraft with a delta wing and canards ahead of it. The letters in its designation refer to the three roles the machine was designed for from the outset: fighter, attack and reconnaissance. Swedish defense doctrine called for the air force to be dispersed away from large bases, so the Gripen can operate from short strips and its turnaround for the next sortie is laid out for a small ground team. It is in service outside Sweden as well, among others with the Czech Air Force.
Photo-etched metal parts in 1:48 scale intended to add to a model of this aircraft. Thin sheet allows crisp edges and fine engraving that a plastic part in this scale cannot reach. Which parts of the model the set adds to is described in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and hold them with tweezers so that they do not spring away. Make each bend against a straight edge along the whole length at once. They are bonded with a tiny amount of super glue; cement for polystyrene has no effect on metal. Degrease the metal and lay down primer before painting, otherwise the paint rubs off during further work.
For modelers of modern combat aircraft and for builders with an eye on vehicles serving with the Czech Air Force. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
