A photo-etched set of seat belts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Junkers Ju 87 Stuka B-2/R2 in 1:48 scale. The STEEL designation means that the belts are of steel etch with a color print and are self-adhesive: unlike brass, they hold the shape of a bend better and look more realistic.
The Junkers Ju 87 Stuka was a German dive bomber with an inverted gull wing and fixed landing gear. The B-2/R2 version was the long-range variant of the B series. Faithful seat belts are among the most noticeable details of an open cockpit.
The belts are carefully separated from the fret; thanks to the steel material they are easy to shape into a realistic sag and they adhere with their self-adhesive layer. The color print usually needs no further painting; the edges can simply be picked out lightly. For a firmer joint, a drop of super glue can be added.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
