About product

Eduard Junkers Ju-188 masking set, 1:48 scale

A set of precisely cut self-adhesive Eduard masks of kabuki (washi) paper for models of the German Junkers Ju-188 bomber in 1:48 scale. The extensively glazed nose of the Ju-188 holds a great many small windows and frames, and masking them with tape by hand is slow and inaccurate. The set usually also includes masks for the landing gear wheels. It is not a kit but a masking accessory.

Use

  • Lift the individual masks off the sheet and place them on clean, degreased cockpit glazing.
  • Fit the small frames with tweezers; kabuki paper follows curves well.
  • Spray the paint in thin coats so that it does not run under the edge of the mask.
  • The circular masks for the tires make it easy to separate the hub from the rubber cleanly.
  • Once dry, peel the masks off gently.

Who the set is for

For modelers building the Ju-188 who want clean framing on the extensive glazed nose without laboriously cutting masks by hand.

A masking accessory. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
