A replacement exhaust nozzle for models of the Israeli Kfir fighter in the C2 and C7 versions and for the American F-21 in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Kfir is an Israeli fighter with a delta wing whose airframe grows out of the French school of design. The C2 and C7 versions differ from each other in equipment and in cockpit fittings, the C7 being the later and upgraded one. Under the designation F-21 Kfirs flew in the United States, where in training they stood in for the adversary in maneuvering air combat. The rear part of the fuselage with the exhaust nozzle is among the most conspicuous places on the whole aircraft.
The set replaces the exhaust nozzle from the kit with a more faithful part that has real depth. On a finished model this is a place everyone looks at, because the nozzle in a basic kit tends to be only suggested. The extent of the modifications to the fuselage and the way the part is seated are described in the instructions enclosed with the set, and those are binding for the fitting.
Before gluing and painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them degrease and dry. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest, so that the mating surface stays flat. If the parts are not polystyrene, cement for plastic models will not hold on them and you should use cyanoacrylate glue. The inside of the nozzle is usually painted differently from the surrounding surface, so paint it before you seat the set in the fuselage.
The set is for modelers who build the Kfir or the F-21 in 1:48 scale and want to improve one of the most closely watched areas of the model. The kit of the aircraft, paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
